Terms of Service

Effective October 1, 2026 · Darktier Studios, LLC, Grand Rapids, MI

The short version: you buy the game once, you play it as much as you like, and your adventurers die a lot. That last part is a feature, not a defect, and it is not grounds for a refund.

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of Delve, Die, Repeat (packagecom.darktierstudiosllc.delvedierepeat, the “App”), published by Darktier Studios, LLC (“we”, “us”). By installing or using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Google Play's ownTerms of Servicealso apply to your purchase and download.

2. License

When you purchase the App through Google Play, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use it on Android devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, sublicense, decompile, or reverse-engineer the App, except where the law says you may. The App, its rules, text, art, music, and sounds, and the Mazeworld game it is based on, belong to Darktier Studios, LLC and remain ours.

3. Purchases and refunds

The App is a one-time paid purchase. It contains no ads and no in-app purchases. Payments, refunds, and family sharing are handled by Google Play under its refund policy; we do not process payments ourselves.

4. Gameplay, permadeath, and saves

Adventurers in the App die permanently, by design. Your runs, run history, records, and settings are stored only on your device. We cannot see, restore, or transfer them, and they are removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data. Lost progress, an unfair roll, or an especially rude epitaph are part of the game and are not defects. Runs you choose to send to our leaderboard are covered in section 5.

5. Leaderboard and your Google Play Games name

The App offers an optional public leaderboard through the in-game Compete setting. Compete needs you to be signed in to Google Play Games. When Compete is on, your Google Play Games name, the gamer name you chose there, and your runs — your hero, your stats, your cause of death, and your epitaph — are visible to other players. You change your name in Google Play Games, and the board follows. If a name contains a word from our safety list, the board shows a neutral placeholder instead. Please don't tamper with the App to post a run or a name; we remove runs that look forged or tampered with, we can hide a run, and we can stop a game ID from posting again. Compete can be turned off at any time; what that does is set out in the privacy policy.ERASE MY RUNS, in the game's account block, removes your runs and your board name from the leaderboard at any time.

6. Privacy

We keep one small database on Google Firebase for the public leaderboard and bug reports, nothing else. What the App stores and what it sends is described in ourprivacy policy for apps; you candelete your leaderboard runs at any time.

7. Updates

We may release updates that fix bugs, rebalance rules, or change features. Some updates may be needed for the App to keep working. We are not obligated to keep providing updates or support forever, though we would like to.

8. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the dice will ever be on your side.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Darktier Studios, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for it. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

10. Termination

Your license ends automatically if you break these terms. You can end it at any time by uninstalling the App.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
