Privacy policy for our apps

Effective September 17, 2026 · Darktier Studios, LLC, Grand Rapids, MI

The short version: our apps don't collect your data, and we run no servers. Your runs, your graveyard, and your settings live on your device. The one exception is entirely your call: if you choose to sign in with Google Play Games to compete on leaderboards, your scores and Play Games profile go to Google so other players can see where you placed. Skip it, and what happens in the dungeon stays in the dungeon.

Who this covers

This policy applies to the mobile apps published by Darktier Studios, LLC on Google Play — currentlyDelve, Die, Repeat (package com.darktierstudios.delvedierepeat). Our website and browser-based tools are covered separately by thewebsite privacy policy.

Data we collect

We — Darktier Studios, LLC — collect nothing. We operate no servers, no accounts of our own, and no analytics. Our apps do not collect, transmit, sell, or share:

The only data that ever leaves your device is the leaderboard data described in the next section, and only if you opt in.

Leaderboards and Google Play Games (optional)

Delve, Die, Repeat can post your results to leaderboards — deepest run, fewest steps, most deaths, and the like — so you can compete with other players and with your friends. This is powered by Google Play Games Services, a feature of Google Play, and it works only if you sign in.

Sharing your results

The app can build a shareable card of a fallen adventurer (their epitaph, depth, and a link to the game) and hand it to Android's share sheet. Nothing is sent until you pick an app to share it with, and it goes only where you send it. We don't see what you share or whom you share it with.

Data stored on your device

The game keeps a small amount of data on your phone so it works: your current run, the graveyard of adventurers who came before it, your personal best records, and your settings. This data is never sent to us, is not part of what goes to Google Play Games (only the scores listed above are), and is removed when you uninstall the app.

No servers, no ads, no third parties beyond Google

Our apps require no account of our own and work fully offline. They contain no advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only third party involved is Google: Google Play handles your purchase and installation, and Google Play Games Services handles the optional leaderboards, both under Google's privacy policy. We receive no personal information from either.

Permissions

Our apps do not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, storage, or any other permission-gated data. Leaderboards use the internet only to talk to Google Play Games when you are signed in.

Children

Our apps are suitable for general audiences. We collect no data from anyone, including children under 13. Signing in to Google Play Games requires a Google account, and Google's own age rules and parental controls govern whether a child can create a Play Games profile or appear on leaderboards; the game does not need a sign-in to be played.

Your rights

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct, or erase. Everything the app stores on its own lives on your device under your control; uninstalling the app deletes it. Leaderboard data you chose to submit is held by Google and can be reviewed or deleted through your Google Play Games settings as described above. If a future app ever changes any of this, this policy will change first.

Data safety summary

For the Google Play Data safety section, our apps declare: User IDs (Play Games player ID) and App activity (gameplay scores) — collected only if you opt in to leaderboards, used for app functionality, shared with Google Play Games Services, encrypted in transit, and deletable by you. Nothing else is collected. No data is sold.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes to what an app collects will also be reflected in that app's Google Play listing.
