The short version: this website uses Google Analytics to count visits, and nothing else about you. Our browser-based tools keep their data in your own browser. We never sell or share personal data. Our Google Play apps run on your device and havetheir own policy.
Who this covers
This policy applies to https://darktierstudios.com and the browser-based companion tools hosted on it (The Armory). It does not cover our mobile apps on Google Play — see theprivacy policy for our apps — or external tools we link to, which are separate services with their own privacy practices.
What we collect
Analytics
The public pages of this site use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, what kind of device and browser they use, and how long they stay. Google Analytics sets cookies and assigns a random identifier to tell one visitor from another; it does not tell us who you are, and we do not link analytics data to names or email addresses. Google processes this data on our behalf underGoogle's privacy policy. We use it to see which games and tools people care about. We do not use it for advertising.
To opt out, installGoogle's browser add-on, block third-party scripts, or clear cookies for this site.
Hosting and the games catalog
The site is hosted on Google's Firebase platform, and the catalog of games, tools, and news is loaded from Google's Firestore database. Like any web host, Google may record standard server logs (such as your IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages. We do not access those logs to identify you.
Browser-based tools (The Armory)
Companion apps that run on this site, such as Burning Banners and Fate of the Fellowship, save their game state in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off. That data stays in your browser: it is never sent to us, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.
What we don't do
- No advertising networks, ad tracking, or sale of personal data
- No accounts, sign-ups, newsletters, or contact forms that store your details
- No collection of location, contacts, or payment information
Cookies
The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics cookies (names beginning with _ga), used to distinguish visitors and sessions. Our browser-based tools use local storage, not cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Analytics data is aggregated and not tied to any individual.
Your rights
Apart from aggregated analytics, we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct, or erase. You control the Analytics cookies and the local storage in your own browser. If you have a question about data you believe we hold, contact us and we will answer.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
