Headline
A guided first dungeon, a redesigned fight screen, sharper icons and clearer rewards. This update also improves saving, achievement syncing and queued leaderboard submissions.
Interface
- New players get a twelve-step introduction; HOW TO PLAY in the menu replays it.
- Fights use a stacked layout on phones and a split layout on larger screens, with clearer targets, action choices and foe inspection.
- Fight rewards, loot, encounters and stairs read from top to bottom, with their action buttons at the bottom.
- The main message rail sits below the status bars, keeping movement controls visible. Dismiss ordinary cards with a swipe or the close button.
- Feature icons have higher-resolution artwork for enlarged displays.
- The death screen shows the hero just buried and their placing.
- Repeated narration and duplicate item and foe details have been removed.
- Poison and disease give a clearer message when their final tick burns out at one hp.
Bug fixes
- Failed settings and save reads no longer silently reset preferences or replace a valid run.
- Achievement reads retry after a failure, keeping queued progress.
- Temporary sign-in or session failures keep queued leaderboard submissions for retry.
- Selling an item caps only the sale proceeds, preserving coin and rations already held.
- Destroyed armour is treated as having no armour when comparing store upgrades.
- Android Back closes Settings before asking to quit.
- Combat health changes follow healing and non-melee hits correctly; surviving foes no longer flash as defeated.
- Poison or disease that reduces the hero to one hp burns out on that tick.
- Chest rewards play one sound rather than two.
